Tigris Mediterranean Grille: A Mediterranean Gem in San Diego

We were just looking for a place near the Mic Drop Comedy club when we stumbled upon this place. Good variety of Mediterranean type dishes and the color pictures do the food justice. The cashier knew the menu and was able to answer our questions. The portions are large and favorable. We definitely got our money's worth. I highly recommend this restaurant. Note that it is very casual. We dined in, but it seems mostly take out. You order at the front but it is brought to your table in to go containers, sauce in plastic containers, and plastic utensils so that's why the 4 star on atmosphere but if it had wait staff, white table cloths, and a fancier decor the price would be much more. The concentration is on good food. I can't wait to go back and try more selections. Featured is apple walnut salad comprised of spring mix greens, sliced green apples, walnuts, red onions (option: feta cheese) with side of balsamic vinegarette and beef kabobs with rice, hummus, tabbouleh salad, sauce, and pita bread. Two of us split this and had the rest for lunch the next day! Definitely on my list of good reasonably priced restaurants!

Was in the mood for kabob and this was close to us. Me and my two buddies came here and were instantly greeted. The cashier explained the menu to us and we made our order. We all shared the chicken shawarma pizza, it was amazing. I got the combo plate which hit the spot ! My buddy got the gyro sandwich and he got so much gyro in his sandwich he loved it ! My other buddy got the gyro fries, and loved it also. All of our plates had huge quantities of food, and were delicious. We each got a baklava to finish things off. Definitely coming back here. Restaurant was clean and staff was nice which is a plus !

Tigris is one of our favorite restaurants here in SD. Been coming here for six years and it is always delicious. The food is incredible!! And that saffron rice is out of this world. The beef kabobs and chicken tikka are a personal favorite of mine, and it's not an exaggeration when I say I could eat here damn near everyday! Not only is the food absolute fire, but the staff is super friendly and the vibes are super chill. They make you feel welcome and the hospitality is amazing. At this point when I go here they know me as soon as I walk in and it's awesome to see how much they care about and remember their customers. They always go above and beyond, even when you're waiting for a big order ( as I do often) and they bring you a drink, or a small side or dessert to enjoy. The restaurant is nice and open with lots of sunlight coming in so just all around it's a great experience. Smells of delicious food, awesome staff, bright vibrant atmosphere, what more can I say, it's a place you definitely want to spend during lunch or dinner! Thanks Tigris for always being on top of your game. Every time I bring new people here, they become obsessed and who can blame them?

Only came here once and got the Falafel plate, so I can't speak to everything else. Portion and taste were good. Place was clean. I don't really have any complaints. Would come again and try something new.

Delicious food, huge portions, exceptional service. Love this restaurant! I was first hooked on the shawarma, then the kabobs (tikka), then the gyros, then the brick oven flatbreads. Their tzatziki sauce and hummus are outstanding. Beet salad with feta is crave-worthy. Fresh salads and generous plates easily serve 2 and the savory flatbreads are as big as a large pizza. They are family owned and greet you like a long lost relative. Always welcoming, always smiling, always happy to share their authentic recipes. Best Mediterranean food in San Diego! Highly recommend.

My family and I come here at least once a week. The portion here is huge! It usually takes us 2 to 3 days to finish, which is great to heat up afterwards. The staff is super friendly and food is very fresh.

A local hidden gem. Well worth it with quality food and service. Frankie was friendly and kind. Good seating and clean bathroom. Parking was also easy. Gluten free options available!
